Linda

I bought my first Harley in August 1999 after completing the Motorcycle Safety class.  Since I wasn’t sure if I was really going to like this whole motorcycle riding thing, I decided to start off with a used bike which was a 1996 1200 Sportster.  When I found out about the Chapter, I attended an LOH meeting in April of 2000 & with the encouragement of Anitra, I attended my first Chapter meeting shortly thereafter.  In 2002, I served as the Chapter Photographer.  In 2001, I took my first Experienced Rider Class on my Sportster but I’m planning on taking it again next month on Scarlett.  After riding my Sportster for 2 ½ years, I decided I was ready for a bigger bike so I purchased a Heritage Softtail Classic.  Scarlett O’Harley & I have been to Canada, Sturgis, San Diego and several other destinations in between and I look forward to many more adventures in the future.

Some of my hobbies are riding my SeaDoo on the blue waters of Lake Chelan, salmon fishing, photography and woodworking.  The majority of my working career has been in the banking industry but I’ve also worked in a cabinet shop and photography studio.  The last 12 years, I’ve been working at Washington Mutual in Seattle.

The best part of being a Road Captain is planning and going on rides to different destinations with a great group of people and sharing a common goal of safety.

I feel very privileged to be in the company of such good riders and to be involved in the Great Northwest Chapter family.
