So you want to know a little bit about me. Maybe even a little bit about my riding style; what to expect if, through some cruel twist of fate or poor judgment on your part, you actually find yourself riding with me.

I'll start off introducing myself. The name is Jeff. I have been a GNW HOG member for about six years and a Road Captain for about five of those. I've been married to my wife, Lori-Jo, for twenty years now. We have two boys, Chris and Alex, 18 and 15 respectively. I have been riding my entire life and have owned a Harley of one kind of another since I was 18 years old. I currently ride a '76 Sportster hot-rod that I've owned since 1980, and a 2000 Road King that already has over 70,000 miles on the clock. That might just serve as a bit of a hint on how I like to ride...

If you are going to tag along with me, prepare for a long day in the saddle. I've been known to run up to Leavenworth after work for a beer, so an all day ride is going to be a bit more than that. Count on 300-400 miles minimum when the days are long enough and the weather cooperative. During the shorter days with colder weather I'll shorten up the rides, but not much. My rides are tailored to the more experienced, hard core riders in the chapter; those of you with some serious time in the saddle already. That's not to say that newer riders are not welcome, but please understand the experienced riders come along because they are looking forward to a day where they can stretch their legs a bit. We do try to accommodate all skill levels and riding styles in this chapter, and my rides provide an opportunity for the most experienced. We put on a lot of miles, we ride hard, and we really don't stop as much as even our shorter rides might. We do go some wonderful places, and it's almost guaranteed that I can bring you somewhere you may not have been before. Or at least show you the scenic route to get there. And just remember, at all times, the Pirates' Code applies - fall behind and you're left behind. "Actually, they're more like guidelines...", so come along and have some fun.

Jeff
