A fun afternoon picnic. Approximately 75 miles round trip.
Starting at Harley Davidson of Seattle proceed north on Evergreen Way.
Take a convenient cross street to I-5 north to Everett.
Take Hwy 2 over the Hewitt Ave Trestle and take the right fork staying on Hwy 2 East.
Follow Hwy 2 through Monroe, Start Up, Gold Bar enjoy the ride. Watch for speed traps. There WILL be at least one in one of those towns.
Take the exit marked Index to the left/north. Be especially careful and look for gravel on the road.
Proceed several miles, then over the new steel bridge in to Index.
The city park has a covered shelter with picnic tables and a deli store across the street. Relax and enjoy a small town.
Follow the directions in reverse to get home.
